Since the really successful quiz in Autumn 2019, Norman Warne and his team have been preparing and are now ready to launch the 2022 version of The ECFC Quiz.
This year all proceeds will be going specifically to The Supporters Trust Kit Out the Cliff appeal. After the enforced Covid break we hope you will be chomping at the bit to once again meet with the quizmaster and his team.
To welcome you back the quiz has been simplified: will run over three nights with the eventual winner declared on the final evening; there will be a total of six other “winners” (2 per night) over the course of the competition. In the interest of sharing the glory no team will win more than one prize.
This year we are looking for teams of 4 who are up to the challenge! Substitutes can be used over the course of the competition. Past participants and new team are warmly encouraged to join the fray and help us Kit Out the Cliff.
The dates for your diary for the Quiz 2022 are Monday nights:
- October 17,
- November 7 and
- November 28
The quiz will be held as usual in the Trust Suite by John Lewis and we can't wait to welcome you back!
For those familiar with the Ultimate Quiz, the unique goal and league style formats remain along with jokers! Formats will differ each night and cover a whole range of subjects, with the usual variety of questions, so you’ll hopefully find one you like.
Like previous years, we are looking for 24 teams to undertake the quiz challenge. It is not essential, but to win the overall accolade teams should be present on each of the three quiz nights involved.
The entry fee is simply £10 per team per night and with the reduced maximum of 4 team members that works out at £2.50 per person per night, a realistic figure given the special nature of quiz and generous time and effort Norman and his team of volunteers put into this.
* Kit Out the Cliff is an appeal (launched in May) to help furnish the new pavilion at the Training Ground. £43,061 has been raised from generous supporters and sponsors.
The fund is currently looking for £517 towards trolleys and trays for the kitchen costing £1000. Your joining fees will go towards these purchases. Also coming up to raise further funds are an online auction and a Pitch Perfect evening with our groundsman Charlie Woolnough.
