At the request of the City Council, we will be showing the State Funeral of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, at St James Park on Monday 19 September.
Members of the public are welcome to attend St James Park from 10am, with entry via St James Road gates opposite to Oxford Road, to watch the funeral on the large screen.
Seating will be provided in the Stagecoach Adam Stansfield Stand and facilities available within the stand.
No ticket is required for this event, however, please note bags will be searched on entry as per normal stadium protocols.
All other services will be closed at the Stadium on this day as a mark of respect and will reopen on Tuesday, September 20.
Monday 19 September, the day of the state funeral, is a bank holiday. The funeral service is due to start at 11am at Westminster Abbey in London – the historic church where kings and queens are crowned.
