😃 Matchday Family Fun: Shrewsbury Town

Something for the whole family

12 February 2023

On Tuesday evening Shrewsbury Town visit SJP. After 4 defeats on the spin they have put together an amazing run of 5 victories (scoring 13 goals at the time of writing!).

It all points towards an exciting half term match on Valentines Night. What could be better than sharing the night under the lights at SJP?

A trip to the football in the evening can create an enhanced atmosphere. A special family occasion and at St James Park there is plenty on offer pre-match to keep the whole family entertained and to make sure your St James Park experience is extra special.

Whether you are making your first visit or returning to the Park after a long break please make yourself known to one of the Ambassador team on your approach to the stadium. They will be happy to update you on changes, where to go and what to expect. Helping you to make the most of your visit.

Getting to SJP

Getting to SJP can be more of a challenge for evening matches. With no trains or busses from the likes of North Devon will see a greater number of supporters driving than usual. The good news is that whilst resident parking might reduce on road opportunities  to park, the car parks are largely free after 6pm. A great convenient help and money saving. Please remember to read the signage, however.  As an example, one of the most convenient car parks, King William Street, locks up at 9pm and should be avoided.

Stagecoach buses drop off in Sidwell Street , Old Tiverton Road and Pinhoe Road. All less than a minute from the Stadium.  By train, St David’s offers direct services direct to the stadium on the South Devon to Exmouth branch line.

Understandably there will not be so many young children at the match. SJP still has plenty on offer pre-match to keep everyone entertained and to make sure your St James Park experience is extra special.

Just take a look at what is available below...

Matchday Timetable

For Tuesday night matchdays the turnstiles open at 6:45pm, we advise fans to arrive as soon as they can to avoid queues closer to kick-off!
