The Winners

The 25/26 awards were presented to the Men and Women players in a low-key event in the Supporters Trust Suite at St James Park on Sunday afternoon, with sponsors and player families in attendance.

City striker Jayden Wareham cleaned up, picking up seven awards after a fantastic personal first season in red and white. City's No.9 scored an impressive 22 times in all competitions, including a career first hat-trick against Peterborough United. Jayden was named the prestigious 'Fans' player of the season' and was named his teammates player of the season.

The Exeter City Women player of the season went to Sophie Gillies who had another fantastic season in red and white. Sophie scored 20 goals and provided four assists for her teammates and has now notched over 100 goals in red and white.

The goal of the season award went to someone you'd have had good odds on winning it at the start of the season! City keeper Jack Bycroft's stunning header to level the score deep in added time against Stockport County that sparked wild scenes in SJP.

Phoebe Baker's stunning strike against Chatham Town was named the Fans' goal of the season. A loose ball on the edge of the box was hit on the half volley from 25-yards and flew past the dive of the Chatham keeper into the bottom corner, what a strike it was!

This year's Exeter City Disabled Supporters Association breakthrough players went to the duo of Charlie Cummins and Georgia Vaccaro.

The 25/26 season has been a breakthrough season for City's Irish midfielder who has recently signed a contract extension for 26/27 and will be one to watch next season. The 20-year-old made his City league debut away at Wycombe Wanderers this season, before joining Weston-super-Mare on loan, making a number of impressive performances, scoring twice. Since returning to City, he’s made 12 appearances in the heart of City’s midfield.

Georgia has excelled in her first season at senior football, a natural goalscorer with the potential to achieve great things in her career, she has established herself as a key member of the squad and will be one to watch next season. 

Young Grecian Liam Cartwright, fresh from signing his first professional contract, was named the East Devon Grecians' young player of the season and Trust young player of the season. A player that has captained the U18s, experienced his first taste of men’s football at Tiverton Town and Willand Rovers and has featured heavily in the Premier League Cup this season.

The Trust's young women's player of the year went to Fearne Slocombe. After joining Exeter City in the summer, she contributed greatly to the successes of this season. Equally comfortable in defence or midfield, her competitive nature and quality have shone throughout the season, alongside being an important personality within the team.

City Women midfielder Ishbel Zuurmond scooped two awards. She was named the Manager's player and players' player of the season. She has been instrumental in providing goals and assists for the team, she never misses a session and brings energy and enthusiasm to the squad.

Defender Jaydee Seaman was named ECWFC fans' player of the season. Jaydee gives absolutely everything every time she steps onto the pitch. She plays with heart, leads by example, and has stepped up as captain when needed this season. Off the pitch, she’s just as important - always making time for others and going above and beyond for those around here.

This year's Supporters' Club supporters of the season were father and son, Nigel and Toby Hawker. The worthy winners took on the incredible challenge of cycling 350 miles from St James Park to Blackpool in five days in April! The gruelling test of the body and mind raised an incredible £8,623 for the Supporters’ Trust and Adam Stansfield Foundation.

New for this season was the award for ECWFC fans' supporter of the season, which went to Andy Beer. Chosen by the players, Andy truly deserves this recognition for his commitment to our team. He travels to every game, follows the team everywhere, and is always there putting up the flags, whatever the weather. He never looks for recognition - he just quietly gets on with it. His dedication never goes unnoticed.
