Voting is now open for Exeter City Women's August Player of the Month award!

The Grecians began the season with a victory on the road against Cheltenham Town before beating Portishead Town in the WNL Cup. Abbie Britton's side finished the month with a solid point on the road away at AFC Bournemouth, and from those performances Abbi Bond, Phoeobe Baker, Sophie Gillies and Ishbel Zuurmond have been nominated for the first monthly award of the season.

This season's award is sponsored by the City Gate Pub and Hote. Conveniently positioned just a hop, skip, and jump from Exeter’s historic city centre and Central train station, they're a firm favourite with the locals. With a fine selection of real ales and craft beers aplenty, they've got something to satisfy every taste.

Abbi Bond

Abbi made keys saves as City opened the season with a clean sheet and three points at Cheltenham, before good performance helped the Grecians to a hard-fought point at AFC Bournemouth.

Phoebe Baker

With combative performances in the centre of the City midfield, Phoebe has enjoyed a strong start to the season playing a part in all the Grecian's four games in August.

Sophie Gillies

Sophie has started the new season where she left off, already accelerating her reputation as one of the division's leading forwards. Goals at Cheltenham, Bournemouth and Portishead have helped City achieve positive results.

Ishbel Zuurmond

City's all action midfielder has provided both defensive stability and attacking creativity in the month of August, a cameo at Portishead changing the game in the Grecians favour to help record an important cup victory.
