Match preview for City Women vs Argyle

Exeter City Women are expecting their biggest crowd of the season this Wednesday, as they host Plymouth Argyle in the Devon Derby at St James Park.

The 7.45pm kick-off will be the first meeting between the Grecians and the Pilgrims in Devon's capital this season, as City Women look to build on their back-to-back victories and make it three wins in a row, with local bragging rights also up for grabs.

With more than 1,100 tickets already sold, anticipation is building ahead of Wednesday evening’s clash. Make sure you’re at SJP to get behind the Grecians and help make the County red once again!

Match dedicated to Her Game Too

Last Saturday's men's fixture against Fleetwood Town and Exeter City Women's Devon Derby against Plymouth Argyle are our dedicated Her Game Too matches.

The Grecians will be doing their bit to support the now global Her Game Too campaign, which works towards tackling sexism and gender inequality within sport.

Across both matches the squad's will don branded warm up tees, while there will be a wide range of social media assets explaining more about the campaign and how you can get involved. There will also be stadium announcements, big screen graphics and articles in the match day programme about Her Game Too, and supporters will have the chance to get their picture taken with our special branded photo frame which will in the Fan Zone.

Raising for Roxy

Everyone at Exeter City Women was recently shocked by the news that Torquay United player Roxy Thomas had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Roxy, 18, has already undergone two operations and faces further treatment during what is an incredibly difficult time for her, her friends, family and colleagues at the Gulls.

At times like this, the Devon football family stands together. In the Centre Spot before the match against Plymouth Argyle, we will be supporting a GoFundMe launched by Torquay United, raising funds to support Roxy and her family.

We will be raffling a signed Alessia Russo England shirt, with tickets available at Silver Street for £1. All proceeds will go towards the GoFundMe appeal, which also support by clicking here.

The City Museum

The burgeoning Museum Room is open from 5pm on Wednesday.

The purpose of the museum is to collect, preserve, share and celebrate the history and heritage of ECFC.

Our stadium-wide approach has produced a range of displays at every opportunity at St James Park. In the Optimising IT Adam Stansfield stand you will find the Hall of Fame displays and History of ECFC Timeline. The Road to Brazil in the entrance to the JG Zone (by the way the 1914 match ball is in the Museum and well worth a look), a list of every player behind Gate 3 and many other picture boards across the walls.
