Exeter City Football Club is delighted to announce partnering with EX2 Group as the club’s official training wear sleeve sponsor for the 26/27 season.

The EX2 Group is a trusted team of electrical and mechanical engineers that are already a familiar and valued member of the Exeter City family. You will recognise their logo that has been seen on the dugouts at St James Park since 2023. This partnership with their home City Club has continued to grow through a shared commitment to sustainability, innovation and supporting the local community.

EX2 Group’s specialist Eco-Tech division installed 108 solar panels at the Grecians’ Cliff Hill Training Ground in 2024, that now generate more than 40MWh of renewable energy each year. This allows ECFC to save around nine tonnes of carbon emissions annually - the equivalent amount of carbon absorbed by approximately 415 trees.

Following the fire at St James Park in November 2025, EX2 played a key role in the recovery effort undertaking vital works to support the club, repairing extensive damage to cabling and electrical switch systems to allow the ground to reopen.

Exeter-based EX2 Group delivers specialist building engineering services across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial and leisure. Through its four divisions, Electrical, Engineering, Compliance and Eco-Tech - the team provides end-to-end solutions for complex estates and facilities, such as hospitals and colleges. They provide expertise in design and installation to testing, certification and maintenance, while also helping organisations improve efficiency and cut energy use.

Speaking about the partnership, Martyn Beale, Managing Director at EX2 Group, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be partnering with Exeter City FC – a club that, like EX2, is rooted in the South West and built on hard work and performance. As a business founded in Exeter, supporting our local club is a natural fit, and this partnership is about backing a team that represents our region.

“We’re passionate about investing in the future through our programme of electrician apprentices, and there’s a clear alignment with Exeter City’s commitment to nurturing talent in the local community. We’re delighted to play our part in powering performance behind the scenes throughout the season ahead.”

Tom Wenborn, Commercial Sales and Relationship Manager at Exeter City, added: “The EX2 Group has become a valued and trusted partner of Exeter City over several years, and we are delighted to see that relationship continue to grow through this new training wear sleeve partnership.

“Their support has extended far beyond sponsorship. From helping us improve the sustainability of our Cliff Hill Training Ground through the installation of solar panels to providing crucial assistance following the fire at St James Park, EX2 has consistently demonstrated its commitment to both the club and the wider Exeter community.

“We are proud to have such a community business associated with Exeter City and look forward to working closer together during the 26/27 season.”
