Exeter City Women has been shortlisted for the Best Football Club - Women's Football award at the upcoming Football Content Awards 2025!
The men's team socials were nominated and made the top ten in 2023 and 2024, but this season our women's socials have been nationally recognised!
The Football Content Awards celebrate the best in online football media. They recognise and reward all content creators and online media companies in football.
The Grecians are up against the following football clubs: Actonians, Arsenal, Doncaster Belles, Leeds United, Billericay Town, Blackburn Rovers, Charlton Athletic, Clapton, Hashtag United, Ipswich Town, London Bees, London City Lionesses, Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Football Content Awards had the following to say about Exeter City Women:
"Exeter City Women are one of the most digitally proactive clubs at grassroots level, producing consistent coverage across social platforms and the club website. Matchday highlights, creative graphics and fan-focused stories give supporters a strong connection to the squad.
"Closely aligned with the men’s side but maintaining their own identity, Exeter have grown both their visibility and following. With a professional approach to media, they are a model for how lower-league clubs can build community and presence in women’s football."

At Exeter City we’ve now been Fan Owned for over 20 years. We have a duty to keep our fans informed, engaged, and entertained about everything at the club they own.
Our Women's team were taken under the wider umbrella of the club in 2024, and that included media responsibilities coming under the existing men's media team, working with the Women's media lead David Gribble, who became the new Head of Operations for the women's side of the club. Last season we have grown marketing campaigns from scratch, worked with the players to help create content they not only can be a part of but want to see, as well as worked to smoothly grow the overall output!
