Exeter City can now confirm the club's retained and released list following the conclusion of the 25/26 EFL Sky Bet League One season.

Six players will be departing the club at the end of their contracts, with discussions ongoing with Club Captain Pierce Sweeney, and six options triggered. Six loan players have returned to their parent clubs.

The Club wishes all departing players the very best in the next stage of their careers, and thank them for their contributions to Exeter City over the years.

Speaking on the retained and released list, City's Technical Director Marcus Flitcroft said: "We would like to thank all the players departing the club, as well as those returning to their parent clubs, for their commitment and contribution during their time at Exeter City.

"There will be an opportunity to hold and progress discussions with released players once a new manager is confirmed, and we move forward the building of our squad for the 2026/27 season.

"We are also delighted to have secured the futures of several of our young academy graduates, and we look forward to supporting their continued development and progression next season.”
