Josh Magennis is looking forward to the prospect of facing his former club and former manager as the Grecians travel to to the Brick Community Stadium in a clash with Wigan Athletic.
The Grecians came agonisingly close on Tuesday night against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road, with Josh Magennis dissecting the performance; "We dominated large parts of the game and we showed what we can do through our thirds, but on the flip side of that we conceded two very poor set pieces which at the end of the day cost us."
City travel North now winless in 12 games, however Josh is keen to reiterate the talent and the belief amongst the squad at this moment in time; "I know some of the results have been heavy, but in terms of game scenarios we haven't been too far off. That gives us the foundations in terms of being able to play and develop, and that's what we're looking for to do on Saturday."
Former manager Gary Caldwell now sits at the helm at the Brick Community Stadium, adding further intrigue to this weekend's game. "The familiar faces will be great, but when you go out and see them in the opposite dugout you realise that it's time to work; everybody is professional enough to know that there is a job to be done."
"It's a game we're looking forward to where two good teams will go against each other."
