The Grecians are back on the road on Saturday in Sky Bet League One action, with a trip to face Barnsley in a 3pm kick-off.

Match Tickets

Please note that tickets for this fixture are E-TICKET only. You can have these on your phone, or printed on A4 paper.

Block NS1 is Safe Standing, whilst NS2 is seating. Please only purchase NS2 seats if you do not intend to stand throughout the match.

Tickets are on advance sale until midday on Friday, March 6. Tickets can be purchased on the day from the away turnstiles, no 44, and cash and card payments are accepted. There will be a price increase of £2 across all age bands on the day.

Advance tickets are priced as follows:

  • Adults: £25
  • Senior 65+: £18
  • Young Adult (19-21): £18
  • Under-19: £12
  • Under-14: £7*

*Please note that an Under 14 ticket can only be purchased with an Adult or Senior ticket. Supporters are reminded that any supporter Under 14 entering without will not be given access to the stadium.

Oakwell Stadium was built in 1888 and was extensively redeveloped in the 1990s, with only the original main stand left standing.

Away fans are located in the North Stand, with a usual allocation of around 2,000. The stand holds 6,000 but for larger followings, restrictions can be in place which limits the allocation to around 4,500.

How to get there

By Car

You can plan your journey to Barnsley by heading over to Google Maps and typing in the postcode S71 1ET.

From Exeter it takes around 4 hours and 20 minutes each way.

By Train

The train to Barnsley takes around 4 and a half hours and requires one change. Please click here to plan your journey.

Barnsley Interchange is a modern transport hub located just a 15 minute walk from Oakwell. The station is served by trains running between Leeds, Huddersfield and Sheffield.

From the interchange, turn left and away from the town centre and head towards and then under the bridge that the dual carriageway runs across. Once under the bridge, cross the road carefully and turn left up the slip road before taking the first right turn onto Queens Road.

Then, head forward towards the Metrodome Leisure Complex and Oakwell will quickly become visible at the bottom of the hill on Grove Street.

Grecian Travel

Grecian Travel can be purchased online here. Please buy your match ticket before confirming your place on the official away travel. The cost is £44 for travel.

Departure time from outside the old Unit 1 Nightclub is at 7am. Other stops:

Parking

The away end car park is NOT pre-bookable, and is cash and card payment on entry only. The postcode for this is S71 1AN. Cars cost £5, minibuses £10, and coaches £20.

All vehicles must remain stationary for at least 15 minutes after the final whistle. The exit gates will only open for supporters vehicles to leave the car park when deemed safe to do so. This will be a MINIMUM of 15 minutes after the final whistle.

At the Stadium

The away supporters section of Oakwell is located in the North Stand of the stadium. This is clearly signposted.

Upon arrival at Oakwell, there are a number of outlets of information available to you. Stewards are strategically placed around the stadium in their high-visibility uniforms, on hand to give assistance and answer any questions you may have. They have a high knowledge of local amenities and stadium access - if they do not know a piece of information they will endeavour to find someone that does.

Away Ticket collection

Away fans are advised to collect any tickets prior to the fixture from Main Reception at Oakwell which is located in the South Stand. Tickets are usually available to collect from 2pm onwards.

Reds Superstore

The superstore is situated in the South Stand and is open for business Monday to Saturday, including matchdays, giving you the perfect opportunity to shop whenever you are at the stadium.

Matchday Catering

Refreshments are available throughout Oakwell Stadium within the supporter concourses.

There are bar and refreshment facilities within these areas that offer a range of food, including pies, chips and burgers, hot dogs, flatbreads and pizza. Confectionery and both alcoholic and soft drinks are also on offer.

All of our food is cooked and served fresh, with queuing expected at peak times. The concourses also show live TV, usually Sky Sports and are open 90 minutes prior to kick-off. Payments via card are encouraged inside Oakwell, but cash payments are also available.
