The Exeter City Foundation big winner for November is David Lake, who has won the £1,000 first prize.
David is pictured receiving his cheque from City Media Officer, Harrison Beer at the recent game with Wigan Athletic. David has generously given some of his prize back to the Foundation, he is also going to donate some to the RNLI and the Devon Air Ambulance, the rest will go on taking his family to some away games.
Like many Foundation members Davis is a long time supporter of Exeter City: “I was first taken to a game by my dad in the 64/65 season, then the family moved away and I did not get back to regular support until the dark days of the late 90’s when I moved to Cornwall.
"I manage most games now, home and away, often with family members who are conveniently spread across the country. I remember some favourite matches – the Torquay semi-final away when we won 4-1, followed by that years Wembley final, winning at Bolton last year 2-0 having been there the year before and, of course, any victory over Argyle, especially the 4-0 game in 2019.
"I also remember my worst match (not because of the football), away at Accrington Stanley in torrential rain, it was a long way home when driving soaking wet! I’ve got lots of favourite player from over the years, Darren Rowbotham, James Coppinger, Steve Tully, Adam Stansfield, Dean Moxey, Scott Golbourne and probably the number one is Jamie Cureton. Currently I like Jack McMillan who I think is very under rated but essential to the team.”
