Exeter passing wishes to Torquay manager Ling
Exeter City Football Club would like to extend our well-wishes to Torquay manager Martin Ling.
The Gulls boss was taken unwell before the televised Devon Derby last month, meaning that he was unable to appear at the Park for the fixture. A statement on Torquay United’s website today revealed that Ling is currently being treated for a debilitating illness. He will continue to be away from his post for the immediate future.
Torquay United will issue any further statements as and when appropriate, and have asked that the privacy of Martin and his family be respected in the meantime.
Martin began his playing career at St James Park, playing a total of 134 times in the Grecians’ midfield. He is still hugely popular at the Park and everyone at Exeter City would like to wish Martin a full and speedy recovery back to full health.
