Rotherham Weather: Statement

22 March 2013

Rotherham United are preparing to ask for volunteers to help come and clear the expected snow from the playing surface and surrounding area at New York Stadium.

Forecasts are indicating heavy snowfall overnight, and the Millers ground staff are preparing themselves for all eventualities, including ask for volunteers to help clear the pitch and surrounding areas.

An announcement will be made between 8am and 9am tomorrow (Saturday) morning as to whether assistance of Rotherham fans will be required at the New York Stadium to clear the playing surface.  The events of tomorrow will largely be dictated by the amount of snowfall in South Yorkshire overnight, so we will aim to keep fans up to date with the goings-on as soon as we hear.

Please keep your eyes peeled on and follow @OfficialECFC on Twitter for further updates.
