7 August 2015

It's here: All you need to know ahead of the big kick-off

EXETER CITY vs YEOVIL TOWN
SKY BET LEAGUE 2
ST JAMES PARK
SATURDAY 8TH AUGUST 2015
KICK-OFF: 3:00PM

THE WAIT is finally over: tomorrow, the 2015/16 League 2 season gets under way.

Exeter City are at St James Park for our first fixture of the new campaign, and they face a Yeovil Town side that has made fourteen new additions over the summer after coming down from League 1 at the end of last season. Ben Tozer, Ryan Bird and Mark Beck are all amongst the veritable plethora of new Glovers who will grace St James Park under the watchful eye of former Plymouth Argyle manager Paul Sturrock.

Pundits have been unsure what to make of Yeovil Town this season - some mark them as sure-fire candidates for a promotion fight, while others have predicted a rough season in mid-table. What is for sure, however, is that the Huish Park club will want to start an ascent back up the leagues in 2015/16, having been in the Championship as recently as 2013/14.

For Exeter City, new signings Bobby Olejnik, Manny Oyeleke, Lee Holmes, Will Hoskins and Troy Brown are all in contention, and manager Paul Tisdale has a fully-fit squad to choose from, with the exception of defender Jordan Moore-Taylor, who is on the way back to full fitness after the injury which sidelined him for the summer.

Tickets are going quick for this one. Home fans can no longer buy tickets in Blocks E or L, but there are plenty of tickets left in the new family section of the Stagecoach Stand.

You can pay on the gate - purchase tickets from the booth and enter at the relevant gates.

Not at the Park, but the Adam Stansfield Memorial Match takes place on Saturday morning. Full details here.

The ninth and seventh minutes of the League 2 match have been designated for minutes' applause for Adam Stansfield, to mark the shirt numbers the striker wore during his time at Exeter City and Yeovil Town respectively.

Bobby Olejnik is the cover star and feature interview in the first issue of the new-look The Grecian.

There will also be some exclusive news inside that we haven't revealed on our official site!

Available for £3 in the Club Shop and around St James Park.

"There's a big crowd expected, and hopefully we can benefit from that. We always seem to do well in the big games. We've waited three months for a competitive game, and I'm really looking forward to it." - Paul Tisdale
