Forward named as supporters' pick of January
Exeter City forward Alex Nicholls was awarded the January 2015 Cash Converters Player of the Month award, as voted by the supporters.The forward, whose move from Northampton Town was made permanent at the start of the month, netted three goals over the course of the month. The first came late from the penalty spot at to win it as City secured a 3-2 victory at Mansfield Town. He followed up the next weekend with a late goal against Oxford as it ended 2-2, though his free-kick against Tranmere ultimately counted for little as Rovers prospered 2-1.
Alex was presented with the award ahead of the Grecians' home Devon Derby fixture against Plymouth Argyle.
