A look at how Grecians are getting on away from St James Park
CITY FAN Exiled Grecian delivers an update on the Grecians on loan away from St James Park.Connor Riley-Lowe
Truro City, National League South (Joined in July, six-month loan extended until the end of the season)
Our loanees at Truro were involved in their second eight-goal thriller in the space of a fortnight. In arguably the comeback of the season, Steve Tully's men came back from four goals down to snatch a point at the death. The hosts, Wealdstone, had taken a 3-0 lead at half time and you couldn't blame them for thinking it was game over when Arran Pugh put past Martin Rice. However, with the wind in their favour, Truro mounted a comeback. On fifty-eight minutes, Isaac Vassell latched on to a long ball over the top to extend his goalscoring run to five in five; but the real drama came in the final ten minutes. On eighty-one minutes Ryan Brett planted a free kick in the top corner, before setting up Pugh six minutes later from another set piece. Brett then proved to be the hero for Truro, popping up with a right-footed strike in stoppage time to seal an emphatic comeback.
Connor again played the full ninety minutes and has now played every league minute since September.
