Julian Tagg has been appointed as the new chairman of the Exeter City Ladies.
Julian, the Exeter City chairman, has taken on the new role to help bring the ladies team back under the umbrella of the League Two club.
He will undertake the same duties with the women’s and girls’ programme as he does the men’s and boys’ side of the football club.
Girls and Ladies football is a fast developing area of the sport, particularly since England Women’s team enjoyed so much success at the 2015 World Cup.
“The time is right for us to become more actively involved in the Exeter City Ladies team and bring them even closer into the family of the club,” said Julian.
“We are very grateful to the outgoing chair Terry Schofield and his committee for all of the work that they have undertaken on behalf of the team, particularly this season, but we feel that now the time is right to take them back under the overall club umbrella.”
Julian added: “I am delighted that the majority of the existing committee will remain involved and look forward to working with them to move the women and girls side forward.”
