City to host the Addicks
Exeter City will host Charlton Athletic in the first round of the Carabao Cup.
The match is scheduled to take place on the week commencing Monday, August 7. The exact date, fixture time and ticket details for the game will be released in due course once the television games have been selected.
The Addicks ply their trade in League One, finishing in 13th place last season, They last visited St James Park back in 2012 in league one, leaving with all three points and a 1-0 victory, thanks to Danny Green's second half strike.
