Matt Taylor has picked an excellent time for his side to hit form. Saturday's 3-1 victory over Cheltenham Town was not only City's third win in a row, but it also went down in Grecians' history when, in the 88th minute, Jonathan Forte bagged the 1,000th goal under supporters' trust ownership.

With the game coming to a close, City showed their clinical edge by sealing a hard fought victory with a combination of some solid defending and determined attacking play.
Luke Croll cut out a Kalvin Kalala cross, which then cannoned off Hiram Boateng before Jayden Stockley booted the ball upfield. Chasing what seemed like a lost cause, Forte showed great speed and determination to block Nigel Atangana's clearance, before composing himself one-on-one with Scott Flinders and cooly slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the net. Forte said in his post match interview he felt 'honoured' to have scored the club's 1000th goal under Supporters' Trust ownership.
