Saturday's match saw the Grecians put five past Notts County at St James Park, moving us within the final ten goals of the landmark 1000th Goal under Supporters' Trust ownership.
Today's featured goal, No.9️⃣9️⃣2️⃣ under The Trust, is sponsored by Light Brown Partnership.
City had gone over seven hours of football without finding the back of the net, but just two minutes after Pierce Sweeney had opened the scoring the Grecians scored their second goal of the afternoon courtesy of Jayden Stockley's left shin.
An unorthodox backheel tackle by Jake Taylor found Nicky Law deep in Notts County territory on 18 minutes, City's summer signing then picking out Hiram Boateng in acres of space with a peach of a pass. The Grecians’ popular number 44 ran at goal before selflessly picking out an unmarked Stockley at the back post who could hardly miss.
City's top scorer later said that "[Hiram] absolutely smashed it across to me, I sort of didn't even see the ball".

A big thank you to our goal sponsor and Trust Corporate Member, Julie Brown of the Light Brown Partnership, in loving memory of her father who brought her to her first game at St James Park when she was 5 years old.
Despite having tea spilt on her new coat that day, she has been a lifelong supporter ever since; getting to games whenever she can now she’s an exile. A passionate supporter of both the Club and The Trust, she and her husband are both Trust members, as was her late mother.
All sponsorship money will be used by our Marketing and Media team to enhance the camera and sound equipment used regularly in the short films and interviews on the Club website.
We are still looking for goals sponsors in the countdown to the 1000th Goal. Number 995, Aaron Martin's first for the club on Saturday is still availalble, along with 996, 997 and 998.
If you would like the opportunity to be a sponsor please email: email@example.com for further details.
