Matt Taylor's Grecians followed up their superb win at home to Notts County with a third away win of the season at Mansfield, moving City ever closer to the 1,000th goal under Supporters' Trust ownership.

After starting off on the back foot, City gradually improved as the first half wore on and deservedly took the lead shortly after the half our mark courtesy of Dean Moxey's first goal of the season.
After good hold up play by Lee Holmes down the right wing, Pierce Sweeney's cross to the back post found Nicky Law just inside the box. City's number 8 then laid the ball off to Moxey on the edge of the area, who dummied the defender with his left foot before curling a right footed effort off the far post which Matt Taylor later described as 'a swinger'.
