📝 City’s new away shirt revealed

Bespoke new kit is a progression of the 2018/19 season's away and third kits

3 July 2019

Exeter City's new away shirt for the 2019/20 EFL Sky Bet League Two season has today been revealed.

The bespoke new kit, modelled by City’s newest signing Nicky Ajose, is a progression of the 2018/19 season's away and third kits and similarly is a nod to the club’s long-running partnership with Flybe, which is about to enter it's 16th consecutive year.

Once more supplied by Joma, the shirt is an eye-catching design, featuring a blend of the fluorescent yellow from last year’s away shirt, with Flybe’s purple brand and a striking blend pattern on the bottom half. The shirt will be matched with purple shorts and purple socks.

Speaking about the new kit, Flybe’s head of marketing, Helen Mason said: “We absolutely love the new kit, we think it’s fantastic. It’s really vibrant and stand-out, and the Flybe brand comes through strongly. We can’t wait to see it in play.

“We are massively proud to be Exeter City’s main sponsor. It’s one of the longest standing sponsorships in Football League history. Sixteen years is a huge achievement and shows how important it is to us, and how much synergy there is between the club and Flybe and the local community.”

Exeter City manager Matt Taylor added: “I really like it, it looks good. We are grateful for Flybe’s contribution to the club; it is vitally important for us.

“Hopefully the fans can get excited about the new kit, and hopefully it is a successful kit, we always seemed to play well away from home in the previous yellow and purple kits. This is a combination of the two put together, so hopefully will be twice as good.”

“The more fans we see in the shirts on match day the more it motivates the team. The fans are a passionate group, and businesses like Flybe play a part in that.”

The shirt will retail at £42 for Adults, and £32 for Children’s sizes, and will be on sale from July 20 in the club shop at St James Park.

A third kit will be something new and different, a very eye-catching design and will be revealed and available early into the season.
