Lewis Ward recorded and sent videos to aspiring young goalkeepers in the Exeter area.

The City shot stopper sent his recorded messages to students at GK316 course, a weekly coaching course in Exeter run by qualified goalkeeping coach Gillian Burgess.

Lewis was meant to be the guest of honour at the awards, handing out the trophies to the keepers but because of the current Covid-19 restrictions that are in place he was unable to attend so sent recorded video messages instead.

“It was a different occasion to what we had planned with our special guests, but it was a lovely afternoon,” said Gillian. “I must say a big thank you to Lewis for sending in his congratulation messages to our top award winners as well as donating a signed pair of goalkeeping gloves.”

The award winners were as follows:
Evan Clark: Perpetual Award 2020
Harvey Warren: Most Improved 2020
Elijah Al-Sedani: Most Improved 2020
Sachin Coppell: Top Trainer 2020

Gold recognition awards
Ryan Taylor
Zach Stephens
Ethan Pyle
Joe Card

Silver recognition awards
