City Manager Matt Taylor has given his reaction as the Grecians' pre-season campaign came to an end with a young side losing 1-0 to Truro City.
The match, which was in danger of being cancelled due to a Covid outbreak in the academy and injuries to senior players, saw the Grecians narrowly lose out to Tyler Harvey's first half strike.
Reflecting on the result Matt said: "It always happens the last game before the start of the season we have a disjoined team with people at different stages - it certainly served the purpose of getting minutes for Tim Dieng and Jonathan Grounds.
"We didn't play well in the first period but we dominated posession in the second without really hurting the opposition goal. If I'm honest I'm pleased the ones that needed the minutes got through unscaved."
