The first BIG winner of the Exeter City Foundation’s £1,000 monthly prize in 2021 is David Leworthy.
A delighted David said the money will come in useful for many things, not the least a mini-break to celebrate he and his wife’s 40th wedding anniversary, when things return to normality.
David has supported City over many years but his selections for favourite matches and players have a recent feel. Under favourite matches he includes this season’s 5-0 thrashing of Tranmere Rovers, alongside the previous year’s 4-0 win over local rivals Plymouth Argyle, also including the Wembley win against Cambridge which restored City to English Football’s fourth tier.
Similarly, under favourite players this season’s leading scorer Matt Jay gets a mention, as does another recent star and Academy graduate Ollie Watkins, along with the never-to-be-forgotten Adam Stansfield.
The Exeter City Foundation is a great deal, especially for City supporters. Being in the draw makes you eligible for for 67 prizes throughout the year, of which 64 are cash prizes. Members who are season ticket holders have the additional benefit of the end-of-season benefit of cash back or a voucher for the ECFC Shop.
