Defender Sam Stubbs is raring to go for Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie at Cheltenham, hopeful that he will make his first appearance for the Grecians this season.
Matt Taylor has indicated the 23 year old is likely to get minutes against the Gloucestershire side following his managed pre-season training programme.
"I've said before I have a different schedule to most, not massively, but there's certain things I have to be cautious of, but the last couple of weeks I've been ready," he said.
"I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game and Matt has mentioned that we haven't had a decent cup run in a few years and we want that opportunity to play teams higher up.
"We will try and win every game and the boys will be confident after Saturday, there's a real feel good factor around the club at the moment."
