We are delighted to welcome Aamir Stanford Daniels to the Football Club on a two-year contract.
Aamir’s talents were highlighted to our Head of Academy Recruitment, Ali McGivney, from our close connections to Darryl at London Kinetic Academy, where Aamir had been impressing.
Following a successful trial period, Aamir has agreed to join Exeter City FC for the next part of his footballing journey, which we are extremely pleased about.
Aamir has shown all of the key attributes that we look for in a young player, with high physical and technical potential and an excellent character. Aamir is a dynamic, attacking full back with great physical attributes and is really well suited to the modern game.
We now look forward to supporting Aamir in order to help him fulfil his potential as a talented footballer and well-rounded young man.
Speaking about joining the Academy, Aamir said: "It feels great to be here. There has been a lot of rejection along the way so I've had to keep pushing, keep my motivation high and keep grafting and it's nice to finally feel welcome at such a great club.
"I feel like it's the best pathway for me here, the development they've given to players has been fantastic.
"The facilities are excellent and hopefully I'll be playing on the SJP pitch sometime soon. I've just got to keep proving myself and hopefully the opportunity will come."
