Goalkeeper Shaun MacDonald has joined the Grecians on a short-term deal until January 2024.
The 26-year-old free agent joins the Grecians after leaving fellow League One side Cheltenham Town in the Summer.
Starting his career in non-league with Gateshead in 2015, Shaun moved to Blyth Spartans in 2017, before a move to neighbours Torquay United in 2018 saw him make over 100 appearances for the Gulls over a four-year spell.
Shaun then moved to Cheltenham Town where he made four appearances in the 2022/23 season, picking up a clean sheet against Chelsea U21 in the Football League Trophy.
The move provides competition for Vil Sinisalo and Gary Woods and allows young keeper Harry Lee to stay out on loan and gain valuable playing experience.
Speaking about bringing Shaun to Exeter, manager Gary Caldwell said: “Shaun has been in training this week and has shown a great attitude and work ethic.
“With Harry Lee out on loan at Weston-Super-Mare, we didn’t want to call him back so Sean will provide competition for Viljami Sinisalo and Gary Woods this season.
“Shaun is still a relatively young for a goalkeeper and we believe he can develop his game further under Kevin Miller and alongside the other goalkeepers at the club.”
Sean will wear the no.30 shirt.
