Exeter City's most recent acquisition Anthony Scully doubled his goal tally for the season on Tuesday against Crewe Alexandra, and now hotly anticipates another home game against Fleetwood Town.
The Grecians shone against a Crewe side that had begun the season unbeaten until their visit to the Park, with Anthony praising the team's performance: "I thought, especially that first half, we were different class. I thought we were electric at times in terms of looking like we could have scored at any moment. We had attack after attack, and I know we only went in at one nil, but, had we gone in at three or four nil, it wouldn't have felt unfair."
The striker doubled his goal tally for the season so far through a penalty kick midway through the first half, though credited the defensive display from the team to secure a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the league: "The back four and Jack in goal; I've not seen anything like it, how well they defend together and how good they are. That gives us confidence up the pitch then as well."
City's game against Fleetwood Town is dedicated to Her Game Too, an organisation that resonates with Anthony and one that he is fully behind: "I'm hoping now that in another ten years time when my little girls are in school, women in football will be a thing that's not even a question anymore, it's just the norm."
