Ahead of City's trip to West Yorkshire on Sunday to face Huddersfield Town at the Accu Stadium, we caught up with Carlos Mendes Gomes.
Momentum has been one of the key focuses within Gary Caldwell's team in the 2025/26 Sky Bet League One season, with Carlos echoing the importance if this ahead of Sunday's game; "We're in a great run, and we can take this momentum to Huddersfield."
After sustaining a heavy injury in the opening weeks of the season, the Bolton Wanderers loanee has been able to return to the pitch from the bench frequently in recent weeks and is now battling for a starting place in the eleven. "It wasn't easy, as soon as I knew about the severity of the injury I had to set my mind right into it. Post operation I had a few weeks where I had to stay at home with the family, which helped me a lot mentally."
"As a player you want to play every game, but you also want to play in good teams. I think we have a brilliant squad here and we can do something special, for me it's about sticking together regardless of who get's called up."
