Exeter City midfielder Charlie Cummins has given an update on pre-season so far ahead of City's double header this weekend.
The Grecians head down the road to face Torquay United on Friday night before hosting Championship side Bristol City on Saturday evening at St James Park.
Speaking about pre-season so far, the Irishman said: "Pre-season has been tough. Definitely tougher than I expected it to be, but it's good to get the running that I need in and I feel really fit now.
Charlie returned to Weston-super-Mare on Saturday, where he had a successful loan spell last season, and he was delighted to return.
"It was nice to catch up with all the lads that I can call friends for a long time now, and the manager who put a lot of trust in me when I first arrived. Weston is a great club and I really enjoyed my time there."
Speaking ahead of the double header, Charlie said: "It's two good games to look forward to. And I'm looking forward to seeing the new third kit - that's going to be good to see. It's two games that we can all improve from and learn from to take into the Plymouth Argyle match.
"I'm looking forward to the Open Training session at St James Park tomorrow, I hope the fans enjoy it. It's a lot more than I expected to come!"
