Ethan Brierley will look to take confidence from Saturday's win against Wycombe Wanderers into Tuesday's encounter with AFC Wimbledon in the second home game in four days.
City returned to home action on Saturday in some style - an emphatic 4-0 win against fellow League One opposition in Wycombe Wanderers in the second round of the FA Cup, a Jack Aitchison brace combined with late goals from Higgins and Wareham completing a dominant display from Gary Caldwell's team.
Ethan Brierley is a firm believer that momentum breeds confidence, and this result will set the team up well for Tuesday's league game against AFC Wimbledon; "In football, momentum is everything really. With momentum you can win as many games as you can really, so we'll take Saturday's result into the tomorrow night before we focus on Bolton next Saturday."
Despite currently in their debut season back in the third division, AFC Wimbledon have not wasted time in picking up points with the London team currently in ninth place on 26 points. "They've shown that they're a good team and they're doing very well this year, so we'll just treat them like any other team in the league."
