This month’s Exeter City Foundation big winner is Barry Wilson, who has won the £1,000 prize for June!
Barry is pictured in his City shirt looking suitably pleased. He and his wife are going on holiday soon and that’s where he’ll be spending his winnings.
Barry has been following City since the 60s: "I have been supporting City since 1968, and a season ticket holder for about 25 years. I have been lucky enough to witness 3 promotions, one wonderful Wembley experience and the magic of the 1980-81 cup run.
"I was not allowed to go to watch us play Manchester United in the FA Cup in 1969 as my father said I wasn’t old enough, but at least I did get to see both games against them some 36 years later. There have been many memorable days in the 50 plus years of following City, but my favourite game would probably be the FA cup replay against Newcastle at a packed SJP. It seems incredible that 17,600 were in the ground that night.”
