Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has given his thoughs as the Grecians exited the Carabao Cup at Cheltenham Town.
Goals from James Wilson and Ryan Broom saw the hosts pick up a 2-0 win on a night that ten changes were made to the starting XI after Saturday's 4-1 win in the League over Blackpool.
Speaking with frustration over the defeat, Gary said: "It was a poor performance. We didn't get going in the game. Too many players didn't get up to speed.
"We made a lot of changes from Saturday and felt it was a good time to give them an opportunity to show what they are about. Too many players didn't get up to speed or get going in the game and we didn't deserve to win the game."
