Gary Caldwell on FC United win (A)

Gary post FC United

Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has given his assessment as City won 4-1 against FC United at Broadhurst Park.

The match, a celebration of fan ownership was played in great spirt and goals from Reece Cole, Ethan Brierley, Pat Jones and Sonny Cox saw City continue their pre-season preparations.

Speaking after the win Gary said: "I thought it was an excellent workout again and both sets of fans were brilliant - I loved the singing at the end so I hope they enjoyed it.

"We got every player through 90 minutes with no injuries which is pleasing and I thought a lot of our play was really good but we lost our way towards the end of the first-half and beginning of the second half, but the first-half had so many good things we had been working on. I thought the first goal was amazing and it's something we worked on, on the training pitch so I'm really happy again and we move into another big week next week.
