Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has given his honest reaction as City were comprehensively beaten by Luton Town in the Vertu Trophy.
The damage was done in the first half as a double from Lasse Nordås and a Shayden Morris strike gave the Hatters a 3-0 lead. Zack Nelson scored a fourth in the second half to see the Hatters comfortably through to the last 16.
Speaking after the game, Gary said: "We were nowhere near good enough and were outplayed in every department.
"I thought they were bigger, stronger and we didn't match their intensity or win enough duels and then the game becomes very difficult.
"We were beaten by much the better team and it's something we have to learn from quickly moving into a big Cup tie on Saturday."
