Gary Caldwell previews City's final home match of 2025

Gary Caldwell pre Barnsley

Exeter City manager Gary Caldwell has given his preview ahead of Saturday's clash with Barnsley at SJP.

The match is City's final home game of the 2025 calendar year and City are looking to sign off with a win and three big points.

In his pre-match press conference Gary said: "It's incredible how quickly the season goes and the years go by. It's the last home game of the year and a really good one to look forward to.

"They have improved a lot under Conor Hourihane and are a really flexible team in possession and have a really strong structure to how they play. So we have to be really good out of possession. We are fourth or fifth in the league in terms of goals against and we have to continue that on Saturday if we want to get something from the game.

"It's also good that we are back home after such big wins in the FA Cup and in the League against AFC Wimbledon - we have to continue that home form now and for the rest of the season."
