Two months into his time as a Grecian, Gwion Edwards is looking forward to the first competitive home game this coming weekend as Exeter City face Accrington Stanley in Sky Bet League Two.
Speaking about his time in red & white so far, Gwion said: "I was really excited to come down and start, and I think it's not failed to disappoint. I think it's been brilliant, we've had a good pre-season as a team, and personally I feel good from the pre-season I've had and I've really enjoyed my time so far."
"I think we've done well through pre-season and you can see the spirit we've got and the togetherness we've got on the team, and it's just going to get stronger week by week now as the season goes on. And yeah, I think even if more players come in and maybe there might be a few more coming in, we will do our best to get them fitted in straight away and make them feel part of the team."
In terms of threats that Accrington Stanley may pose, Gwion said the following: "They will be a hard working team. I think they'll be on the front foot, they'll be aggressive, so it's not going to be an easy game. I think there is no easy game in in the league, so I think we've got to be ready for that and be switched on. And as I said, if we start the game fast then we've got a good chance of coming out with a result."
