Cardiff City showed their quality, justifying their position in the league as they eked out a 1-0 win against Exeter City at the Cardiff City Stadium on Boxing Day.
Jack Fitzwater produced another strong performance as a key part of the City back line, reiterating the importance of belief within the squad at this moment in time; "The performances are there, we're trying our hardest and it's going to turn soon."
A crowd of over 20,000 were packed into the Cardiff City Stadium, with over 1,500 travelling Grecians. Regardless of the result, the fans did what they have done all season and kept with the team for the whole 90, something that Fitzwater and his colleagues are endlessly thankful for; "The fans stuck with us, we could hear them loud and the boys are sticking together."
"They've been amazing all season, we know how hard it is both in miles and financially. It's a tough time at Christmas, but they've come in their numbers and we'll need them again on Monday night."
