Jayden Wareham reacts to Wycombe Wanderers draw

Jayden post wyc

Jayden Wareham struck late to earn the Grecians a point against Wycombe Wanderers, cancelling out Onyedinma's opener.

After City went looking for a reaction to a 4-0 defeat to Rotherham United two weeks prior, Jayden Wareham felt a third successive point has put the Grecians back on track.

"Three draws in three games now, so we definitely take the points."

Frank Onyedinma opened the scoring for the visitors a little over 20 minutes in, a frustrating goal to concede for Dan Green's side considering the record that they had kept against the Chairboys in previous.

"I think conceding the goal that we did pretty early on wasn't the best feeling, wasn't the best time either."

Tremendous support from the Big Bank was awarded late on when Wareham met Akeel Higgins' cross to head home his fourteenth goal of the season.

"The lads stuck deep to keep to keep sticking to the game plan so it was deserved."
