Josh Magennis had the ball in the back of the net a few minutes from time against Rotherham United, but the linesman's flag denied the Northern Irishman a late equaliser.
A Millers goal midway at the backend of the first half was then enough to win all three points for the hosts, and after the game Josh shared his reaction.
"We were trying to build on what we done against Peterborough last week but to concede in such a soft way and then not really right them wrongs is hard to take," explained the forward.
"We managed to take over the game in the second half but was a little too late to properly do that. It feels like 90 minutes wasted, a whole week's preparation wasted, we've just got to lick our wounds and look forward next week to Port Vale."
Josh was frustrated about the goal threat City carried, with the majority of chances only coming at the end of the game.
"But today wasn't our day at all, we had one flash across the net, Sonny almost had one from my header across goal and obviously the goal that was offside.
"It's not often we don't carry a goal threat but today it just wasn't enough."
