Exeter City are in pre-season action for the final time on Saturday afternoon as Swansea City are welcomed to St James Park for Pierce Sweeney's Testimonial.
Celebrating ten years a Grecian, the skipper has a whole host of events planned for his testimonial year, kicking off with the pre-season friendly against the Championship outfit. The match will also see the return of former Grecian Josh Key to SJP for the first time since he left Devon for South Wales in July 2023.
It will also be the first time City have faced the Swans since a pre-season game in 2019, when the Welsh side won 3-1 at the Park. It is set to be a competitive contest, with it being the final opportunity for Gary Caldwell and his coaching staff to perfect their side on the pitch ahead of the League One kick-off next weekend at Doncaster.

PS26 - The Testimonial
Saturday is not just about a game of football - but about one man. The man who embodies what it means to be a Grecian and is celebrating ten years at our wonderful football club. Sweeney has a whole host of events planned over the next year, which you can find out about at ps26.uk, including a golf day, cocktail evening, BBQ, car wash and a bake off, with money from these events helping to support two important charities - The Adam Stansfield Foundation and Mind Over MND.
The Skipper's Thoughts
Ahead of his testimonial match, Sweens gave his thoughts on the importance of the fixture, with the game just one week before the start of the season.
"All eyes are on Saturday, but Swansea are a brilliant side and will be the biggest test we'll have in pre-season. I didn't want us to have an exhibition match, I wanted us to be ready for the season. I'm really really excited to see what Swansea will be like and how they will test us."
