Exeter City continued their strong start to the season on home soil, with a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra that delighted manager Matt Taylor.
An extremely positive start from City left the visitors defending their box desperately in the opening phases, with Anthony Scully's penalty kick giving the team a deserved win: "Our ball use and our attacking play was absolutely second to none. We created great opportunities for that first half and went ahead deservedly so for the penalty."
Another clean sheet at the other end of the pitch was the cherry on top for Matt: "We showed our stubbornness, our resilience, our desire to keep the ball out of the back of the net. Goalkeeper, backline, every single person on the pitch, including the substitutes who came on got us that clean sheet."
