Exeter City were held to a 0-0 draw by Colchester United at the JobServe Community Stadium, with manager Matt Taylor sharing his thoughts on the afternoon's football.
After a game that saw chances at both ends of the pitch, Matt was pleased with a point; "I'm pleased to take a point, we withstood moments and pressure in the game against an incredibly physical team. And I'm not talking about necessarily in terms of their style, but some of their personnel and some of their attacking players - they were real handful."
Reece Cole rejoined the City side after recovering from injury, with Matt certainly pleased to have him back amongst the ranks; "There were 3 or 4 times the ball was bounced around the 18 yard box 20 yards out, and you just wanted it to fall or sit nicely for Reece but it never quite happened today. But just great to get him on the pitch and involved again. And you know, I've made unforced substitutions today, so it's important the squad is utilised."
