From the Exeter City Supporters' Trust
Many thanks to everyone who has helped us raise £25,000, a fantastic amount which covers 50% of the total cost of the unit.
The training ground Recovery Room is aptly named as it will provide a space for players to recuperate after injury and recover after matches, thus reducing the risk of further injuries.
This facility is the latest example of the continual process of improving and upgrading facilities which benefit supporters, staff & players.
The recovery suite will include 3 ice baths, a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna. The ice bath units can also be used up to 40C as they have the ability to warm. An internal shower has been integrated into the unit, which will be clad in Charred Nordic spruce cladding on the exterior.
As befits our special Club these improvements, both large and small, are made possible thanks to the entire Exeter City family working together. Club,Trust & supporters & staff.
Exeter City manager, Gary Caldwell, said of the recovery room, “As the team in League One that travels further than any other, the recovery room will have a huge benefit for this football club.”
“It will make all the difference to us, especially when we have Saturday-Tuesday fixtures and there is a short turnaround. The players will be able to remain on site for their recovery, and we can focus on our important recovery protocols.”
“Thank you to everyone - including our incredible supporters - who have made this possible”
The Supporters' Club has recently announced that this season's income from the match day 50:50 draw has raised £25,000 for the Academy.
Our last 3 big projects together - Kit Out the Cliff, the Fan Zone Canopy and now the Recovery Room have raised a whopping £113,00.
We have a tradition of volunteering and supporting fundraising projects because we understand that every penny we raise means that the Club is better able to support our players on the pitch.

A special thanks to Elaine Davis, who organised this fundraising campaign. Another fantastic achievement in a long line of successful fundraising efforts. This latest achievement adds to her well-earned reputation as a truly exceptional fundraiser.
Thank you to everyone involved!
Work is now underway on the recovery room, with equipment ordered. Further updates as we have them.
