Reece Cole ahead of Huddersfield Town in the FA Cup

Exeter City midfielder Reece Cole is hotly anticipating his side's visit to Huddersfield Town in the first round of the Emirates FA Cup.

Reflecting on Saturday's late defeat to Salford City, Reece said there were positives to take: "I felt like we were on top and had them where we wanted them, but we probably didn't take some of the chances that we needed to. But again, like I've said to the lads previously against those sorts of teams, they can bring on endless amounts of quality and they can punish you. So I think it was a good lesson for us and there were plenty of positives to take out of the game."

After two seasons that saw the Grecians go on impressive runs in the tournament, Reece reflected on his personal memories: "I think my first memory of the FA Cup was playing against Hanworth Villa for Chertsey Town, that was my first ever game in the FA Cup. I've got some not so good memories in the FA Cup too; against Nottingham Forest I missed a penalty and losing 10-1 at Manchester City. So yeah, hopefully we can go there and make a positive memory and get our FA Cup run going."

In terms what to expect in Saturday's game, Reece said: "We'll be going up there as the underdogs, but I think it's a great position to be in as we go there sort of as the unknown. Obviously they'll do their homework on us, but hopefully we can go there and the stuff we've worked on throughout the week, we can implement on Saturday and hopefully get a positive result and performance."
