Reece Cole on returning for pre-season

Reece Cole pre-season

Reece Cole says he is 'raring to go and ready to push on' as the Grecians returned to pre-season training today.

City's no.12 is about to start his third season in red and white and was delighted to be back in the Devon sunshine: "Yeah, it was good. It's warm, said Reece. "It's Nice to be in the gym and seeing all the boys and cheering everyone on with all the testing. It's good to be back out there.

"I haven't put my boots on since Mansfield Town away last season, so it was nice to be back out there with the boys and just a little introduction to it all.

"The first couple of days are testing for the coaches to see where we're at and then I think the real hard work starts on Monday with all the running and the ball work. All the coaching staff are brilliant here. They know when to push us and when not to push us. So, yeah, looking forward to it. A little bit nervous, little bit scared, but use it as good nerves and hopefully we can get a good pre season under us."

Reece sees the new season as a big one for him personally: "It's massive for me. I think off the back of last season it was a disappointment for myself. So hopefully this year, like I said, I've done all the maintenance work in the off season that I needed to come back in fit and hopefully I can get through this pre-season and smash it and get really fit and then hopefully see where that takes us for the season."
