Taylor Perry featured in the Grecians 2-0 defeat to Plymouth Argyle in the first round of the Carabao Cup at Home Park.
Two late goals courtesy of Alex Hartridge & Bim People were enough for Plymouth Argyle to secure a home tie against Coventry City in the second round of the Carabao Cup. Taylor Perry summarised the feeling at full-time: "It's definitely a tough one to take. Obviously I feel the two late goals is a sucker punch, especially with the way we played."
"We stuck to our task the whole game, it was going to be a tough game obviously coming here. So yeah, it's definitely a hard one to take."
A first taste of a Devon Derby, Taylor was thankful for the supporters who journeyed to Home Park: "Obviously the fans were excellent today, travelled in the numbers and I could feel it. I had a good feeling before the game, coming out, walking in front of all the fans in the numbers and I was proud to do that, but unfortunately we couldn't deliver the result in the end."
