Versatile midfielder Emily Poole joined City in July 2025 from fellow Southern Premier side Gwalia United to become Abbie Britton's fifth signing of that summer.

Emily had been a regular opponent for City having also played for Gwalia's predecessor Cardiff City, in between a stint in America. At the start of her career, the midfielder briefly played with City's manager Abbie Britton while the latter was captain of Cardiff.

During the 2025/26 season, the Welsh player was a regular for the Grecians, appearing at wingback and in the middle of midfield.
